Dan specialized in the advisory services for the dispositions and acquisitions of institutional grade commercial real estate (office, industrial, multifamily, and life science/R&D product). Dan completed over $8.0 billion in transactions, covering the Orange County, San Diego and Phoenix markets. His team was consistently ranked as the top sales teams in each market for assets over $30 million in value. His responsibilities included coordinating the entire process of a transaction, from winning the new business to closing the transaction. He underwrote, analyzed and valued assets; he pitched and prospected for new business; he edited and directed the creation of marketing materials and offering memorandums; and he interacted directly with investors and clients throughout the entire transaction process. Dan managed and coordinated deal-specific teams of professionals.
Dan specialized in institutional grade office product in the Mid and North City markets of San Diego County. He participated in landlord and tenant represented lease and sale transactions with total consideration values in excess of $800 million. He was awarded “Rookie of the Year” and the “Civic Leadership” Award. Dan was a part of a hand selected “strategic steering committee” that was comprised of leaders throughout the organization who focused on major company initiatives, including firm culture, training, the company’s “mission” and growth strategies, etc. Some of Dan’s institutional clients included Credit Suisse First Boston, Goldman Sachs, Equity Office Properties, Crescent Real Estate Equities, and DRA Advisors.
Dan analyzed, valued, and researched the performance and competitive position of prominent, public companies in the home furnishings industry. He presented companies and our research to institutional buyers. He created high-level PowerPoint presentations, and “roadshow decks” to present to institutional buy-side investment firms. He built financial models and charts based on earnings reports and forecasts, to compare and predict various data points. He drafted and formatted quarterly research reports and participated in initial public offerings. He monitored macro-economic trends to predict fluctuations in the retail and manufacturing sectors.
